ENGRAVE IN YOUR HEART GOD’S
WORD 1
Engraving in your heart
God’s Word is the one of the ways to live a life of Success in the 21st century
that we live in. Living a life in The Word attracts the Blessing. Living
according to the world may mean living a life of compromises, and whatever you
compromise to get, you will have to keep making compromises to keep. However
the Blessings of the Lord are permanent and has no sorrow attached to them.
Proverbs
10:22 NIV The blessing of
the Lord brings wealth,
without painful toil for
it.
When the Word of God is
engraved in our hearts, it will help us from falling back and forth into sin.
When we spend time reading, studying, thinking, pondering over and over again
the Word of God, our thinking changes, faith begins to rise up inside of us,
revelations are released unto us and outwardly things begin to change around us
for our good and our success.
Psalms 119:11 I
have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.
Joshua 1:8 Keep
this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that
you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous
and successful.
Whenever we take
time to meditate on what we read, making that part of our daily routine and
staying consistent and long enough, then the engraving takes place in our heart.
How to Engrave God’s Word in
your heart:
By reading,
memorizing, meditating, pondering upon, writing it down, highlighting and
confessing the Word.
When the above process is
repeated on a daily basis, our heart begins to know the Word, and that’s how to
get it engraved on our heart. This requires a lot of
discipline, consistency, setting a time for this routine and following
through. When what we are saying with our mouth matches with what we have
read in the Bible that is the outward evidence of knowing the Word
is engraved in our heart.
Benefits of Engraving
the Word in your heart:
1.Whenever we engrave the
Word in our hearts, we are actually sowing the seed of god's Words in our heart
and God will do His own part of growing the sown Words in our hearts into
physical manifestations of whatever we are believing God for the in the
physical.
Mark 4:3-20 Listen!
Behold, a sower went out to sow. 4 And it happened,
as he sowed, that some seed fell by the
wayside; and the birds of the air came and devoured it. 5 Some
fell on stony ground, where it did not have much earth; and immediately it
sprang up because it had no depth of earth. 6 But
when the sun was up it was scorched, and because it had no root it withered
away. 7 And some seed fell among
thorns; and the thorns grew up and choked it, and it yielded no crop. 8 But
other seed fell on good ground and yielded a crop that sprang
up, increased and produced: some thirty fold, some sixty, and some a hundred.”
9 And
He said to them, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”
The Purpose of Parables
10 But
when He was alone, those around Him with the twelve asked Him about the
parable. 11 And He said to them, “To you it
has been given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God; but to those who are
outside, all things come in parables, 12 so that
‘Seeing they may see and not
perceive,
And hearing they may hear and not understand;
Lest they should turn,
And their sins be forgiven them.’’
The Parable of the Sower
Explained
13 And
He said to them, “Do you not understand this parable? How then will you
understand all the parables? 14 The sower sows the
word. 15 And these are the ones by the wayside
where the word is sown. When they hear, Satan comes immediately and takes away
the word that was sown in their hearts. 16 These
likewise are the ones sown on stony ground who, when they hear the word,
immediately receive it with gladness; 17 and they
have no root in themselves, and so endure only for a time. Afterward, when
tribulation or persecution arises for the word’s sake, immediately they
stumble. 18 Now these are the ones sown among
thorns; they are the ones who hear the word, 19 and
the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other
things entering in choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful. 20 But
these are the ones sown on good ground, those who hear the word, accept it, and
bear fruit: some thirty fold, some sixty, and some a hundred.”
LUKE 8:11-15 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. 12 Those
by the wayside are the ones who hear; then the devil comes and takes away the
word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved. 13 But
the ones on the rock are those who, when they hear, receive
the word with joy; and these have no root, who believe for a while and in
time of temptation fall away. 14 Now the ones that fell
among thorns are those who, when they have heard, go out and are choked with
cares, riches, and pleasures of life, and bring no fruit to maturity. 15 But
the ones that fell on the good ground are those who, having
heard the word with a noble and good heart, keep it and bear
fruit with patience.
2. The engraved Word of God
will make us a Spirit filled believer because The Word
in us is what makes us Spiritual.
3.The engraved Word helps
us to know The Truth which is the only source of freedom. Knowledge
is power and we would be free from ignorance and we would be
equipped to defeat the fiery tricks of the devil.
Ephesians
6:13-17 therefore, put on every
piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of
evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. Stand
your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s
righteousness. For shoes, put on the peace that
comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. In
addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows
of the devil. Put on salvation as your helmet, and take
the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
4. Success and prosperity
will be our portion, during the time we invest in spending in the Word,
God will reveal unto us mysteries of the Kingdom and hidden
mysteries for our home, business and careers.
5. Grace consciousness will be
available to you on a daily basis at the altar rather than sin consciousness.
Without faith it is
impossible to please God. Without knowing what God says in His Word in
this 21st century, we will be blown away with every form of doctrine. It
is very difficult to please God without His Word but it is also very easy to
please Him when we know His Words. (Written and Revealed).
Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible
to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He
is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
6.Nobody can take or steal
what we know and what we have hidden in our hearts.
7. Engraving the Word
in our hearts enable us to produce the good fruit of The Spirit.
John 15; 3-5 you have
already been pruned and purified by the message I have given you. Remain
in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it
is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me.
“Yes, I am the vine; you are
the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit.
For apart from me you can do nothing.
Galatians 5:22 but the
Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace,
patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness,
and self-control. There is no law against these things!
8. The more time we spend in
engraving the Word in our hearts, the more we grow in the things of God and the
more the good fruit begin to manifest in our lives; The more loving, joyful ,
peaceful, kind , good, faithful, gentle and self -controlled we become.
