The following are examples in the scriptures of how God spoke to people in the Old Testament and He is still speaking to us in the last days.

Joel 2:28[The Day of the LORD] “And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions.

 Acts 2:17“‘in the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.

 Genesis 15:1after this, the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision: “Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your very great reward.”

Genesis 46:2And God spoke to Israel in a vision at night and said, “Jacob! Jacob!” “Here I am,” he replied.

 Numbers 12:6he said, “Listen to my words: “When there is a prophet among you, I, the Lord, reveal myself to them in visions, I speak to them in dreams.

 Numbers 24:4the prophecy of one who hears the words of God, who sees a vision from the Almighty, who falls prostrate, and whose eyes are opened.

1 Samuel 3:1[The Lord Calls Samuel] The boy Samuel ministered before the Lord under Eli. In those days the word of the Lord was rare; there were not many visions.

1 Samuel 3:15Samuel lay down until morning and then opened the doors of the house of the Lord. He was afraid to tell Eli the vision,

 Job 33:15in a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on people as they slumber in their beds.

Psalm 89:19 once you spoke in a vision, to your faithful people you said: “I have bestowed strength on a warrior; I have raised up a young man from among the people.

Ezekiel 12:23 Say to them, ‘this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I am going to put an end to this proverb, and they will no longer quote it in Israel.’ Say to them, ‘The days are near when every vision will be fulfilled.

 Obadiah 1:1[Obadiah’s Vision] the vision of Obadiah. This is what the Sovereign Lord says about Edom— we have heard a message from the Lord: An envoy was sent to the nations to say, “Rise, let us go against her for battle.

Remember the vision of where or who you want to be is your greatest asset so treasure it, nurture it and embrace it.

Wisdom Nuggets on Vision 2.

Wisdom   Nuggets on Vision ".

 God speaks he is still speaking and still gives true visions to individuals despite all the counterfeits that we may see around. The physical manifestations of the visions he gives to us  is the proof that God has spoken whereas in the case of false visions, they never come to pass and the false prophets also suffer the consequence/judgment  for  lying against God and for speaking when God has not spoken. Whatever God has spoken through any of the means; dreams, prophetic visions, discernment, imagination or perception or whatever he shows us will surely come to pass at the fulfillment of time if we do our own part and walk in faith instead of doubts or fear. Visions will not come to pass if we stay stagnant or are not ready to do what it takes by faith and believing in ourselves and in God that gave us the vision .It is sad to say that some tombs are filled with some people that died without fulfilling their vision, not because God has not spoken but  maybe because they chose not to believe or act upon the vision.

For it is impossible for God to lie, before he gives us a vision, he had already made provision for it to happen once we believe and are ready to go to work with the vision. When we discuss the vision with him, He makes it clearer to us and we have better understanding from time to time about what it is that He wants us to do and how to do it. This process takes time, commitment and lots of patience and trust in God and in his timing.

Hebrews6:17-18Thus God, determining to show more abundantly to the heirs of promise the immutability of His counsel, confirmed it by an oath, ¹⁸ that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who has fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us.

Daniel  1:17 to these four young men God gave knowledge and understanding of all kinds of literature and learning. And Daniel could understand visions and dreams of all kinds.

Daniel  2:28but there is a God in heaven who reveals mysteries. He has shown King Nebuchadnezzar what will happen in days to come. Your dream and the visions that passed through your mind as you were lying in bed are these:

Vision is God showing us the picture of where He wants us to be in the future or what he wants to accomplish through us in the future or at an appointed time.

ENGRAVE IN YOUR HEART GOD’S WORD 3

Friday blessings everyone, here’s my conclusion series on “Engrave in your heart God’s Word.”

Engraving God’s Word in our hearts is the only way we can guard our hearts from all the issues of life.

Proverbs 4:23 Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. Fixing your mind on The Word, the Presence of the Holy Spirit and the knowledge of the Prince of Peace in our lives are the only things that guarantees our Peace of mind in the turbulent world we live in.

Philippians 4:8-9 And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.  Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you.

Isaiah 26:3 You will keep in perfect peace
    all who trust in you,
    all whose thoughts are fixed on you!

Psalms 85:8: I listen carefully to what God the Lord is saying,
    for he speaks peace to his faithful people.
    But let them not return to their foolish ways.

 Psalms 119:165: Those who love your instructions have great peace
    and do not stumble.

Engraving the Word of God in our Hearts will help us to believe, enjoy the blessings and benefits of living a long, faith filled and fulfilling life.

Proverbs3:1-2: My child, never forget the things I have taught you.
    Store my commands in your heart.
If you do this, you will live many years,
    and your life will be satisfying. 

Psalms 91:16 I will reward them with a long life.

    and give them my salvation.

Ezekiel 37:26: And I will make a covenant of peace with them, an everlasting covenant. I will give them their land and increase their numbers, and I will put my Temple among them forever. It is possible for us to walk in The Spirit because of the engraved Word in our hearts; we are able to do more things that are pleasing to our Spirit than our flesh. 

The Word of God and the Spirit of God are one and they always agree with each other. The Spirit of God in us always bears witness with the Word of God. Once our Spirit man is in control, our body and our soul will be subjected to the dictates of the Spirit thereby The Word will be able to keep us holy in our Spirit, Soul and Body. This also works in the reverse, if we feed our flesh/body more with everything it desires other than the Word of God; our flesh/body  will be the one controlling our spirit and soul then we will find ourselves struggling from one issue or the other habitually, and this eventually makes us lose our peace with God.

Romans 8:6: So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace.

1Thessalonians 5:23:  Now may the God of peace make you holy in every way, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ comes again.

Finally, the Word of God that is engraved in your heart is able to produce the desired fruits in our life during our time of need. No word, no faith and no manifestation of the Things of The Spirit. The Word of God is more than able to provide whatever we need, wherever we live: a job in time of recession,   provision in time of lack, freedom in place of bondage, healing in time of sickness, multiplication in time of scarcity, divine health in place of ailments, love in time of war, joy in place of sadness, relationship in place of isolation, fruitfulness in time of barrenness. God has provided all in His Word, we just need to do our own part in the process to see the manifestations. May the engraved Word of God bring forth good fruits of success in our lives, homes, and businesses in Jesus name. Amen

ENGRAVE IN YOUR HEART GOD’S WORD 1

Engraving in your heart God’s Word is the one of the ways to live a life of Success in the 21st century that we live in. Living a life in The Word attracts the Blessing. Living according to the world may mean living a life of compromises, and whatever you compromise to get, you will have to keep making compromises to keep. However the Blessings of the Lord are permanent and has no sorrow attached to them.

 Proverbs 10:22 NIV The blessing of the Lord brings wealth,
    without painful toil for it.

When the Word of God is engraved in our hearts, it will help us from falling back and forth into sin. When we spend time reading, studying, thinking, pondering over and over again the Word of God, our thinking changes, faith begins to rise up inside of us, revelations are released unto us and outwardly things begin to change around us for our good and our success.

Psalms 119:11 I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.

Joshua 1:8 Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.

Whenever we   take time to meditate on what we read, making that part of our daily routine and staying consistent and long enough, then the engraving takes place in our heart.

How to Engrave God’s Word in your heart:

By   reading, memorizing, meditating, pondering upon, writing it down, highlighting and confessing   the Word.

When the above process is repeated on a daily basis, our heart begins to know the Word, and that’s how to get it engraved on our heart. This requires    a lot of discipline, consistency, setting a time for this routine and following through.  When what we are saying with our mouth matches with what we have read in the Bible that is the outward evidence of   knowing the Word is engraved in our heart.

Benefits of Engraving the   Word in your heart:

1.Whenever we engrave the Word in our hearts, we are actually sowing the seed of god's Words in our heart and God will do His own part of growing the sown Words in our hearts into physical manifestations of whatever we are believing God for the in the physical.

Mark 4:3-20 Listen! Behold, a sower went out to sow. ⁴ And it happened, as he sowed, that some seed fell by the wayside; and the birds of the air came and devoured it. ⁵ Some fell on stony ground, where it did not have much earth; and immediately it sprang up because it had no depth of earth. ⁶ But when the sun was up it was scorched, and because it had no root it withered away. ⁷ And some seed fell among thorns; and the thorns grew up and choked it, and it yielded no crop. ⁸ But other seed fell on good ground and yielded a crop that sprang up, increased and produced: some thirty fold, some sixty, and some a hundred.”

⁹ And He said to them, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”

The Purpose of Parables

¹⁰ But when He was alone, those around Him with the twelve asked Him about the parable. ¹¹ And He said to them, “To you it has been given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God; but to those who are outside, all things come in parables, ¹² so that

‘Seeing they may see and not perceive,
And hearing they may hear and not understand;
Lest they should turn,
And their sins be forgiven them.’’

The Parable of the Sower Explained

¹³ And He said to them, “Do you not understand this parable? How then will you understand all the parables? ¹⁴ The sower sows the word. ¹⁵ And these are the ones by the wayside where the word is sown. When they hear, Satan comes immediately and takes away the word that was sown in their hearts. ¹⁶ These likewise are the ones sown on stony ground who, when they hear the word, immediately receive it with gladness; ¹⁷ and they have no root in themselves, and so endure only for a time. Afterward, when tribulation or persecution arises for the word’s sake, immediately they stumble. ¹⁸ Now these are the ones sown among thorns; they are the ones who hear the word, ¹⁹ and the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things entering in choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful. ²⁰ But these are the ones sown on good ground, those who hear the word, accept it, and bear fruit: some thirty fold, some sixty, and some a hundred.”

 LUKE 8:11-15 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. ¹² Those by the wayside are the ones who hear; then the devil comes and takes away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved. ¹³ But the ones on the rock are those who, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, who  believe for a while and in time of temptation fall away. ¹⁴ Now the ones that fell among thorns are those who, when they have heard, go out and are choked with cares, riches, and pleasures of life, and bring no fruit to maturity. ¹⁵ But the ones that fell on the good ground are those who, having heard the word with a noble and good heart, keep it and bear fruit with patience.

2. The engraved Word of God  will make us a   Spirit filled believer because The Word in us is what makes us Spiritual.

3.The engraved Word helps us   to know The Truth which is the only source of freedom. Knowledge is power and we would be free from ignorance and   we would be equipped to defeat the fiery tricks of the devil.

Ephesians 6:13-17 therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm.  Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness.  For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

4. Success and prosperity will be our portion, during the time we invest in spending in the Word, God   will reveal unto us mysteries of the Kingdom and hidden mysteries for our home, business and careers.

5.  Grace consciousness will be available to you on a daily basis at the altar rather than sin consciousness.

Without faith it is impossible to please God. Without knowing what God says in His  Word in this 21st century, we will be blown away with every form of doctrine.  It is very difficult to please God without His Word but it is also very easy to please Him when we know His Words. (Written and Revealed).

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

6.Nobody can take or steal what we know and what we have hidden in our hearts.

7. Engraving the Word in our hearts enable us to   produce the good fruit of The Spirit.

John 15; 3-5 you have already been pruned and purified by the message I have given you. Remain in me, and I will remain in you.  For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me.

“Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.

Galatians 5:22 but the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!

8. The more time we spend in engraving the Word in our hearts, the more we grow in the things of God and the more the good fruit begin to manifest in our lives; The more loving, joyful , peaceful, kind , good, faithful, gentle and self -controlled we become.

THE WILL OF GOD IN INCREASE CONCLUSION

It is very important to note  that it is not our efforts, hard work or good deeds that bring us   the increase: God is the one that brings the increase to all we do.

1 Corinthians 3: 6 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.

1  Corinthians 3:7
So then neither is he that planteth anything, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.

2  Corinthians 9:10
Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness.

Job  8:7
though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase.

“Church, we must renew our minds to the truth that God wants us to Increase! A wave of increase is coming so we must prepare ourselves for it and have a balanced approach to it so that it will be a blessing to us and our generations. These last days God is pouring out His increase like never before upon His Church so we can be able to make impact and influence the lives of people in the World to The Word of his Power. We cannot make any impact when we are compromising our values or standards or when we are walking in less than God intended for us to walk in.

God wants us to increase in all things in righteousness because we are the remnant that will show the world that one can increase in God without compromising or selling out one’s soul to the devil.

Zechariah 8:12 For the seed shall be prosperous; the vine shall give her fruit, and the ground shall give her increase, and the heavens shall give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these things.

Psalm 85:12
Yea, the LORD shall give that which is good; and our land shall yield her increase.

Psalm 105:24
And he increased his people greatly; and made them stronger than their enemies.

Remember walking in love is the anointing and mantle for increase upon whatever we lay our hands upon to do  and the reason the devil always attack our love walk is to keep us from increasing and abounding in all God wants us to. Walking in  the Truth of God’s finished works on The Cross is what brings freedom and release from the devils’ strong holds and  bondage . Let us rejoice and be glad for Jesus is coming back  for a Glorious Church without blemish or wrinkles and we win in all and at all times.

The Will of God in Increase 6b

Beware of Pride as you go about your journey in life as God increase you.This vice is why  we have to make a  conscious effort on not shifting our focus away from God and God alone.Once our heart is not gavitating away from God,   our hearts will not become proud  and  when we can  begin to see and experience increase in every area of our lives without sharing the glory of the happenings in our lives and this will make us give all the due credit to the Giver;God. Pride is one of the tools of the devil and it  subtly leads to destruction .Pride is the root of selfishness; the root of all evil and it is not from God.  This made the devil lose his position in heaven Isaiah 14:12-14, and Ezekiel 28:12-18.

 Another example of someone   that God increased but became proud and had to be humbled after falling from pride is Nebuchadnezzar in Daniel 4:29-37:

‘Twelve months later he was taking a walk on the flat roof of the royal palace in Babylon.  As he looked out across the city, he said, ‘Look at this great city of Babylon! By my own mighty power, I have built this beautiful city as my royal residence to display my majestic splendor. ‘While these words were still in his mouth, a voice called down from heaven, ‘O King Nebuchadnezzar, this message is for you! You are no longer ruler of this kingdom.  You will be driven from human society. You will live in the fields with the wild animals, and you will eat grass like a cow. Seven periods of time will pass while you live this way, until you learn that the Most High rules over the kingdoms of the world and gives them to anyone he chooses.’

 “That same hour the judgment was fulfilled, and Nebuchadnezzar was driven from human society. He ate grass like a cow, and he was drenched with the dew of heaven. He lived this way until his hair was as long as eagles’ feathers and his nails were like birds’ claws.

Nebuchadnezzar Praises God

“After this time had passed, I, Nebuchadnezzar, looked up to heaven. My sanity returned, and I praised and worshiped the Most High and honored the one who lives forever.

His rule is everlasting,
    and his kingdom is eternal.
 All the people of the earth
    are nothing compared to him.
He does as he pleases
    among the angels of heaven
    and among the people of the earth.
No one can stop him or say to him,
    ‘What do you mean by doing these things?’

 “When my sanity returned to me, so did my honor and glory and kingdom. My advisers and nobles sought me out, and I was restored as head of my kingdom, with even greater honor than before.

 “Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and glorify and honor the King of heaven. All his acts are just and true, and he is able to humble the proud.”

Prov 16:18 Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall.

Ezekiel 28:5
by your great skill in trading you have increased your wealth, and because of your wealth your heart has grown proud.

Psalm  62:10
do not trust in extortion or put vain hope in stolen goods; though your riches increase, do not set your heart on them.

Proverbs 23:5 Cast but a glance at riches, and they are gone, for they will surely sprout wings and fly off to the sky like an eagle.

Luke 12:15 Then he said to them, “Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; life does not consist in an abundance of possessions.”

All the earthly things we see and possess are temporal and the things that count for eternity are eternal.

2 Corinthians 4:18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

 2 Tim 3:16-17 All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our  be lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.

May all our focus be on God and God alone and may our lives be equipped for every good work in Jesus name. Amen

THE WILL OF GOD IN INCREASE 6a

 In our quest for increase, we should strive to increase in our faith as faith are in levels;little, no , small, big, great and exceedingly great faith.Whatever level, we choose is what determines our levels of increase.Also ,we should seek to increase in not just good things but God things because not all good things are God’s things .
If our focus and attention is not in the right source which is God,  and God’s ways, we could be tempted to seek alternatives ways of getting increases in  good things that are not God’s things .This is one of the reasons, some people seek wealth and increase in fetish ways . When we seek increase in God’s ways we become godly and our wealth and increases come over time with long lasting patience , generational wealth, blessings and longevity  . Whilst those who  seek wealth /increase in worldly ways end up increasing  in ungodliness, sudden wealth with no longevity or generational impact. As a believer ,we should strive to be increasing in godliness and faith that will last to generational blessings.

2 Timothy 2:16
But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.

God does not want us to seek increase in power from the devil, for God is the source of Power.God created the devil so he can never be as powerful as God.

God desires for  us to increase in the knowledge of His own power that He has already deposited in every believer, so we can begin to walk in defeat against the enemy’s wiles and tricks.

Psalms  62:11One thing God has spoken, two things I have heard : “Power belongs to you, God.

1 Corinthians  24-25 but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.  For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength.

Job 12:13 To God belong wisdom and power; counsel and understanding are his.

THE WILL OF GOD IN INCREASE 5

God wants us to individually  increase in our prayer life, in our spiritual life :our faith and in the Word of God then  we the “Church”  can be more effective witnesses, more souls will be saved and God’s  Will  be done on earth.

Acts 6:7
and the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith.

Acts 16:5
and so were the churches established in the faith, and increased in number daily.

We are not supposed to be in one position; we have to be moving from one level of Glory to another, if we are not, it is not God’s fault but ours. We have to be the one pursuing for more of whatever we may be lacking is it wisdom, love or actions by looking in His Word and by the Help of The Holy Spirit in us whenever we are willing to yield to Him. God always want us to be willing and obedient and He always rewards our obedience.

Isaiah 1:19

If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land.

2 Corinthians 3:18  But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

He has already given us all we will need for life and godliness, but we have to reach out by faith, desire increase and be expectant to receive the increase at His appointed time.

Ephesians 3:20 God is able to do much more than we can ask or think, but we have to do our own part in believing ,  putting into corresponding actions of  works and then the  power in us will bring us our desired increase.

God also want us to increase in our maturity in the things of God. He wants us to be students of The Holy Bible for life. That is our manual for success in this world we live in. The only way we can be spiritual is through and by the Word of God. Our understanding of the Word of God  will help us embrace the one that is the source of all our increase , prevent us  from falling away with false or fake doctrines that is contrary to the teachings of Jesus Christ and remove  from us any  feeling of guilt for achieving  increase and/or  promotions.

Hebrews 6:1 therefore let us move beyond the elementary teachings about Christ and be taken forward to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death, and of faith in God.

 Finally, God wants us to increase in his strength, anointing and power, so his signs and wonders can show forth though us.

Isaiah 40:29
He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.

Acts 9:22
But Saul increased the more in strength, and confounded the Jews which dwelt at Damascus, proving that this is very Christ.

The Will of God in Increase 4

God commands us to increase in our love for one another, so we can become more like him and His blessings can be seen in our lives. Love is the secret law and the spiritual way to increase that's why the devil always want to attack us in our love walk with one another .Whenever we walk in love, the anointing and mantle for increase is poured upon all we do.

1 Thessalonians 3:12 May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else, just as ours does for you.

God wants to increase us through the works of our hands, home and business.
Deuteronomy 16:15
Seven days shalt thou keep a solemn feast unto the LORD thy God in the place which the LORD shall choose: because the LORD thy God shall bless thee in all thine increase, and in all the works of thine hands, therefore thou shalt surely rejoice.

When we are blessed financially after giving God his dues, he wants us to bless the poor and the needy.

Prov 28:27 Those who give to the poor will lack nothing,
    but those who close their eyes to them receive many curses.

Prov 19:17 Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord,
    and he will reward them for what they have done.
God   wants us to increase in our giving so we can receive more and be a blessing to others.

Luke 6:38 "Give and it shall be given you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over," This is fullness and abundance.

When we increase in material blessings, the Grace of God is seen in our lives and every reproach of lack will be removed from our lives.
2 Corinthians 8:9 For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich.
The Grace of God is also released unto everyone that gives with the right attitude and every time we sow in faith to increase the propagation of God’s works in His kingdom. The ultimate we can reach for giving is the place of total abundance and no more debts.
Deuteronomy 28:12
The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.

Ezekiel 36:30

I will increase the fruit of the trees and the crops of the field, so that you will no longer suffer disgrace among the nations because of famine.

2 Corinthians 9:8 And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.
